Second Quarter Report Cards
On January 20, 2012 all students at Oxford Middle School will receive their first quarter report cards. MAP results and Title I progress reports will also be attached to the report cards. Gold seals will be affixed to the report cards of students who make the Honor Roll!
COLLINS WRITING PROGRAM
This school year, the Oxford Public Schools will be implementing the Collins Writing Program across the District. During our Professional Development Days, August 26th and 27th, all core subject teachers were trained in Collins. At Oxford Middle School, teachers have already begun implementing the basics of Type 1 and Type 2 writing. You may notice your children writing on alternating lines of notebook paper and working with FCA (focus correction areas). More information about this program will be coming home in the near future. SCHOOL FUSION ACCOUNTS
In an effort to start each school year fresh, all student and parent accounts in School Fusion (our website) are purged and therefore must be recreated. Student accounts have been recreated by the technology staff. Parents can recreate their own accounts by completing the Parent Registration. The Parent Registration form can be found just above the calendar on the left side of this page. This registration form will ask for a Student ID and Passcode. This is your child's school computer username and password which they can request at school if not known.
Friends of Oxford Middle School
Friends of Oxford Middle School (FOMS) sponsors a web page on our site. Please check out the site for more information and details about current and upcoming activities. FOMS supports our many projects and activities for the students and teachers at OMS. Help support them in their dedicated efforts. Check the website for ways to get involved. The next meeting will be held on February 8, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. Hope to see you there!
It's Cool to Collect Cell Phones and Cartridges!
Bring in used cell phones, inkjet and laser cartridges to the Middle School. We can recycle them for cash for our school! You don't have to sell anything and it helps the environment while it helps our school.
